Albariño

    • Geographical distribution
    • Vine variety considered native to Galicia and the most important in the region. The creation of the D.O de Rias Baixas has influenced the recovery of this variety. It is currently authorized in other D.Os such as: Cataluña, Costers del Segre, Monterrei, Ribera Sacra, Ribeiro and Valdeorras.


    • Agronomic features
    • t is a variety sensitive to mildew and somewhat less to powdery mildew. In general, the cultivation of Albariño is raised off the ground to prevent soil moisture from causing infections that can attack the plant.

    • Date of budbreak: early
    • Date of maturity: medium


    • Oenological features
    • The Albariño grape offers high quality wines, with medium alcohol content and notable acidity, with fruity aromas, with sometimes floral nuances.
