Graciano

    • Geographical distribution
    • A red variety widely represented in La Rioja, but with significant presence in the autonomous communities of Castilla-La Mancha and Navarra.


    • Agronomic features
    • Resistant to powdery mildew and downy mildew. Quite resistant to drought. It adapts quite well to all types of soils although it prefers clayey or fresh limestone soils.


    • Phenology
    • Date of budbreak: late
    • Date of maturity: late


    • Oenological features
    • Wines with medium-high to high alcohol content and high acidity. They stand out for their aromas of licorice, their tannic character, and a slightly bitter taste. Musts with a tendency to oxidation.


    • Synonyms
    • Graciano de Haro, Tintilla de Rota, Morrastel (FR), Tinta miuda (PT)
