Palomino Fino

    • Geographical distribution
    • White vine variety widespread in the Andalusia and Extremadura winegrowing regions with approximately 2.500 ha. The DOs Jerez and Manzanilla Sanlucar de Barrameda, and Condado de Huelva stand out by their production of Palomino Fino.


    • Agronomic features
    • It is a variety highly susceptible to the downy mildew ( Plasmopara viticola) and to the anthracnose ( Elsinoe ampelina), and to a less extent, to the oïdium (Uncinula necator). Palomino Fino is very well adapted to limy, dry and sun-exposed lands.

    • Date of budbreak: medium
    • Date of maturity: medium


    • Oenological features
    • Palomino Fino wines are considered as table wines, fresh with pale-yellow colors and herbal aromas. This variety is utilized in the production of the popular Jerez and Manzanilla wines.
